Requirements
In order to apply to The Barber School students must possess one of the following:
- High school diploma
- GED certificate
- Self-certify graduation from a high school or home school in a case where a high school graduate CANNOT get a copy of their diploma.
- Receive a passing grade from a “ability to benefit” test.

Students in their last year of high school may make arrangements with a high school counselor to receive high school credit while attending school. (Only for high schools who are willing to participate.)
Registration Process
Students must first submit a completed application with a $50 non-refundable application fee to The Barber School for review. Applications will be screened to determined if the applicant meets the necessary requirements.
Classes will be filled on a first come first serve basis The Barber School holds to the standard of NO discrimination in admission, instruction, and graduation policies on basis of race, ethic origin, age, sex, religion, and financial status.
Once applicants have been approved potential students must complete the registration form prior to attending class.
Financial
Currently there are many different options to pay for school including government sponsored programs. Contact The Barber School for the latest information and how to obtain financial assistance.
Hours Required
Utah requires 1000 hours to graduate.
If you are looking to obtain a license for a different state, the required hours may vary. The Barber School can provide hours that will be accepted for different states.
