The Barber School in Midvale trains students to pass the Utah state board exam and enter the workforce ready to work. Our curriculum was built by Master Barber Tim Hite, with over 60 years of experience and training from Vidal Sassoon in Europe. Students spend the majority of their hours on our clinic floor, working with real walk-in clients from early in the program.
You can earn your barber license in about six months of full-time training, or take up to 12 months in our evening program. New classes start every month. Federal financial aid is available.
1,000 training hours. Covers clipper and shear technique, skin fades, straight razor shaving, client consultation, and state board prep. Full-time completion in approximately 6 months. Evening track available.

Students practice under instructor supervision on real clients, which is exactly how they build the skill to work professionally after graduation. Walk-ins are welcome.
The Barber School is a Title IV eligible institution. That means FAFSA applies. Pell Grants, federal loans, and other programs may cover a significant portion of your tuition. School code: 041927. Many students pay less than they expect once they file.

It is a barber school in Utah that specializes in the nearly lost art of the hot towel shave and the original clipper over comb haircut, nothing else. You will obtain real world experience performing hundreds of haircuts as you prepare for a promising career. The Barber School offers a program that incorporates these techniques used by Master Barbers all over the world.

An above average income can be yours. Shop speed for many barbers is two to three haircuts per hour. If you average $20 to $30 per service, well, you can do the math and say good-bye forever to the $15 an hour jobs! As a Barber you set your own hours and you decide how much you will earn.
