You should not have to quit your job to become a barber. The Barber School offers evening class options for students who need flexibility, including career changers, working adults, and parents with daytime obligations. The curriculum is the same. The license at the end is the same. The timeline is different.
Evening students accumulate the same total training hours required by Utah state law: 1,000 hours for the Barber license and 1,200 hours for the Hair Design license. Attending primarily in the evenings, most students complete the Barber program in approximately 12 months and the Hair Design program in up to 15 months.
Evening students attend classroom instruction and spend time on the clinic floor serving real walk-in clients, the same as day students. There is no reduced version of the program.
